Firmware version
Please ensure your Zone is running the latest version of WebApp before conducting further troubleshooting. See WebApp - Updating Firmware for details. Current firmware version can be seen in WebApp under Settings > Status.
What do the front panel LEDs mean?
Please see Zone - LED Status for a guide on the different states of the Power LED on your Zone controller.
No audio
First, connect to WebApp, check metering of inputs and outputs in WebApp under Settings > Tools*.
*Settings > Installer Settings on WebApp 1.2.6 and below
If inputs and outputs are metering correctly, ensure that the correct input source is selected (e.g Line Input 1) and that the outputs are routed to the zone you wish to control. See WebApp - Routing Sources To Output.
If there is still no audio after all inputs and outputs have been routed correctly please contact support.
Audio level is present, but low
Check that the trim pots for the line input channels are set to an appropriate level to the audio source. Trim pots are located on the rear panel to the right of the HDMI inputs and can be adjusted using a small flat-blade screwdriver. Take care not to turn them up too much as this can clip the input signal. Always refer to the metering in Settings > Tools.
Unable to connect to WebApp
Check the colour of the Power LED on the front panel to confirm if Zone is connected to a network.
- Power LED white - Zone is connected to a network
- Power LED Green - No network connection has been detected. Check connections
- If flashing green, Zone is still searching for network connection.
If you have not set a custom mDNS name for WebApp, enter optimalaudio.local into your browser or the IP address of the unit (if known).
If you do not know either of these, you can check them in the system information (sysinfo.txt) file found on the Zone's SD card.
Note - the sysinfo.txt file will only appear if you are running the latest version of WebApp. See WebApp - Updating Firmware
