Level controls within a Zone control page can be set with restricted minimum and maximum levels to prevent facility staff setting them beyond pre-defined limits.
A limit line is drawn on the fader to indicate the maximum level. The fader cannot be moved beyond this limit line, preventing the level of the music or microphone from being set beyond the restricted level.
If the limit does restrict a level, once the restriction is removed, the level will return to the original setting automatically. The unit remembers the set level when applying a minimum or maximum restriction.
These limits can be stored to presets which can then be recalled by time-of-day Routines allowing the installer to place different limits for different times of day - for example allow louder music during an evening but then to bring the limit down considerably at a later local authority enforced curfew.
For instance:
- 9am - 6pm: music limit set to 50%
- 6pm - 11pm: music limit set to 100%
- 11pm: music limit set to 70% - change levels also to 70% with a slow fade time
- Midnight: routing off to silence all outputs.
Minimum and maximum limits are also enforced on the front panel of the Zone unit and within ZonPad preventing unintended settings from any control point.
