WebApp - Creating a Mobile Shortcut

WebApp is accessible from any browser-based device connected to the same network as a Zone controller. This includes this includes iOS and Android based mobile phones and tablets. 

Installers can create a dedicated shortcut icon on a devices Home Screen that provides one-tap access to WebApp, avoiding the risk of venue staff accidentally closing the browser and losing control of the Zone processor. 

iOS devices

1. Open Safari and navigate to WebApp using the mDNS name or IP address whilst connected to the same network as your Zone controller
2. Tap the ··· button to bring up the options menu then tap Share icon [↑] to bring up the sharing options
3. Scroll up on the sharing options and tap "Add to Home Screen"
4. Give your shortcut a name and tap "Add"

WebApp will now be added to your Home Screen as an app icon.

Note: The process may vary if you are running an older iOS version. The above references the iOS26 process. 

Android devices

1. Open Chrome (or your chosen Android OS browser) and navigate to WebApp using the mDNS name or IP address whilst connected to the same network as your Zone controller
2. Tap the  ⠇button to bring up the options menu
3. Select "Add to Home Screen"
4. Give your shortcut a name and tap "Add". 

Note: The process may vary depending on the browser you are using and Android OS version.
