The Configuration Assistant tab gives you a live read-out of the amplifier's current DIP-switch configuration, showing channel routing, signal-preset indicators, connector wiring and trim positions for the active preset.
Choose the desired preset in reference to the table found here > SmartAmp - Dip Switch Guide. Set the DIP-switches on the rear of the amplifier, and the Configuration Assistant will reflect the change in real time.
Where a preset is selected that mixes subs and full-range speaker types, a crossover is activated and the inputs are linked as shown. When trims are active, these are shown with their live setting.
Where a preset relies on trims being set and one or more are turned down, resulting in no audio output on that channel, a warning is issued.
The rear panel speaker wiring is also shown, indicating low impedance (Lo-Z) and high impedance (Hi-Z) connections where appropriate for the selected preset.
Looking for more flexibility?
If the 30 DIP-switch presets don't fit your installation, set all the DIP switches to the OFF (0) position and switch to the Custom Configuration tab. This unlocks full per-output control of routing, speaker presets, impedance, EQ, crossover, limiter and delay. For more details see - SmartAmp 3.0 - Custom Configuration Tools.
